Chevrolet Camaro Defeating Ford Mustang as The Best-Selling Sport Car in The U.S.

Chevrolet Camaro establish himself as the best-selling sports car in the U.S., with 37 percent market capture. Chevrolet Camaro defeating Ford Mustang with a difference of more than 18,000 units.  ”The fifth generation of the Camaro will inspire consumers in choosing a sports car. Comes with the new Camaro Bumblebee and Camaro ZL1 new, give a special impression as a sports car favorite, “said John Fitzpatrick, Camaro marketing manager, as reported by inautonews, Tuesday (02/28/2012).

In 2011 then, remove the 88 249 units of Chevrolet vehicles. That figure is predicted to grow after the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was present in February. While the Mustang is only sold 70 438 units with a market share of 29 percent for sports-car segment.  Dodge Challenger Mustang followed behind with sales of 39 534 units or captured 16 percent of the sports car market. Followed by CR-Z Honda sold 11,330 units and Hyundai Veloster in fifth position with 9284 units.

Chevrolet Corvette is also a leader in the U.S. luxury car class, with sales of 13 164 units. Followed Porsche 911 sold 6016 units, BMW 6-Series with the 3903 unit, BMW Z4 3479 units sold, and the Mercedes SLK with 3220 unit sales.
