At July 2011, the Chevrolet introduced a Chevrolet Cobalt concept car that is scheduled to begin on the road in the beginning of 2012, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Chevrolet Cobalt is in production and ready to be marketed in 40 countries. As reported by autoevolution, Sunday (11/06/2011) Chevrolet Cobalt will be available in 40 countries in Africa, South America and the Middle East as well as to several European countries. However, the Cobalt will not be marketed in the United States (U.S.), the article Chevrolet has launched the Sonic for the U.S. automotive market.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Cobalt which sold in Brazil have two engine options, namely the 1.4-liter engine with 102 hp and 1.8-liter engine that revealed all the details yet. According to the plan, Chevrolet Cobalt manufactured will have a four-cylinder engine that starts from the 1.3-liter engine to 1.8-liters. Furthermore, Cobalt engine are also available in manual and automatic transmissions, both the gasoline engine, or diesel. Regarding prices, General Motors (GM) has not been defined, but is not expected to be much different from the Chevrolet Sonic marketed in the United States.
