Colors of Cars Can Affect Fuel Effieciency

Researchers in the laboratory of the Environmental Energy Technologies Division of Berkeley announced that the car that has a bright color has a two percent fuel efficiency is better when compared to cars with dark colors. As reported by Autoblog, Sunday (6/11/2011) from the results of research conducted bright colors like white and silver can reflect sunlight up to 60 percent, and dark colors like black are only able to reflect light five percent.

In that study, two cars with their bright colors and dark dried under the hot sun for an hour. Both cars have up to 45 degrees Fahrenheit temperature equals 26 degrees Celsius ataui.
