U.S. soldiers are known to rely on High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) or Humvee known as combat vehicles and operations on the battlefield. Ford is now trying to create a rival Humvee. Is called a Ford V8 or Valanx that proposed BAE Systems, Northrup Grumman and Meritor Defenses for a U.S. troop combat vehicles.
Proposal submission is given to the Engineering and Manufacturing Development(EMD) as part of the program, the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) or combat support vehicle. ”We will keep developing the best technology for our EMD vehicle. These vehicles will increase the performance on the battlefield, ”said Glenn Lamartin, BAE Systems JLTV Lead Capture.

Ford V8 Valanx will be pinned Ford Power Stroke 7.6-liter turbocharged plus diesel engine . With fuel efficiency and engine power and torque in its class, the same machine is designed for trucks Ford F-Series Super Duty. Later, the three vehicles will be selected by the U.S. government or theEngineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD). Winning bidder will be announced next June.
